The stars have come out
The world breathes in night
But as I look about
I am drawn to a light
Glowing inside the forest
I know with my whole heart
That even when I rest
I feel we aren’t apart
Is the forest I love aflame
Wouldn’t I know
I step toward it, hear my name
And reach out toward the glow
It flows back to take my hand
And suddenly, I understand
The flame of inspiration
Draws me to this place
And now I know the reason
Why the glow warms my face
For I am still sleeping
Waiting for the sun to rise
And my secrets are no longer keeping
Behind my lidded eyes.
I should be sleeping, but I forgot to post this.
